Events & Traditions
The Falkland Islands host a range of cultural and community events that bring people together. Here are some of the highlights:
- The Christmas Sports Weekend – A major local event held over the 26th and 27th of December with horse racing and foot events for children and adults alike.
- Events at the Historic Dockyard Museum – Regular exhibitions and talks on the Islands’ history and heritage.
- Theatre & Performances – The Falkland Islands Operatic & Dramatic Association (FIODA) puts on several productions each year, from musicals to comedies and dramas.
