Life in the Falklands is community-focused, peaceful and nature is all around you. The nearest penguin colony is only 10 minutes drive from school. There are all sorts of clubs and activities to get involved with and the school staff association organises termly social events. Life is lived at a calm pace with some unique local features – everyone stops for lunch at midday, including teachers.
The primary school is a similar size to a British two form entry primary school; the secondary school is small with just over 200 students. Class sizes are sensible and teachers are able to know all of their pupils well. The schools are completely comprehensive and inclusive, including all children with SEND.
