Public Transport on the Falkland Islands
Public transport options are limited on the Falkland Islands. There is no dedicated bus or train service, so most residents rely on private vehicles or taxis to get around.

Taxis
There are three taxi companies in Stanley that provide transport services. Taxi fares vary depending on factors such as time of day, distance, and the number of stops, so it’s a good idea to confirm the price with the driver when booking. Taxis are commonly used for local travel within Stanley and for services such as airport pick-ups and tourist transport.

Ferry Services
While there is no public bus or coach network, a ferry service operates between East and West Falkland. You can book a passage for yourself and your vehicle if necessary. The ferry is primarily used for travel between the two main islands.
