Who Can Move to the Falkland Islands?
If you dream of a fresh start, a change of pace, a new community, and a stunning landscape, moving to the Falkland Islands could be a perfect choice. It is an exciting prospect, but one that comes with a few requirements you will need to meet before making the move. Here are the primary considerations:

Work permits and residency
To work and live in the Falklands, you will require a work permit. This applies to all nationalities, including British Citizens. However, you cannot apply for a work permit until you have a firm job offer, so looking for a job should be your first step.
To receive a work permit you will also need to demonstrate that you have suitable housing. Normally, your prospective employer will apply for a work permit on your behalf, and if they do so, it will be their responsibility to ensure that you have suitable housing. Some jobs will be restricted to people already living in the Falklands simply because employers cannot guarantee housing for work permit applicants.
